Pimp my VisualHAM

Posted by Peter Schraut under Tools

I wrote some pages about configuration possibilities for VisualHAM, since it’s still pretty popular in the homebrew development community as the download statistics show. I thought it’s a good step to share my knowledge about it, so people who would like to use VisualHAM with a different SDK than HAM have a place to find information about this task.

Feel free to take a look at the Pimp my VisualHAM documents.

A new HAM/HEL platformer is finally seeing the light of day! A few days ago, Julien Lallevé released the first version of his game called Bam?

The mission is simple:

Collect enough bananas to activate the colored platforms and progress through the level!

To download the game, either forward your browser to Julien’s website and give him some feedback as he asks for, or simply get it from HEL Libraries Featured Projects section.

Pikilipita Advance

Posted by Peter Schraut under GBA

Do you think the Game Boy Advance is just to play games? Wrong! Clément Cordier demonstrates that the Game Boy Advance hardware can also be used to run his very own live video mixing software “Pikilipita Advance” to make the audience go nuts!

Head over to his website and watch some of his live performances or simply download his mixing software and become a star yourself. :-)

This product is obviously a total must have entry in the Featured Projects of HEL Library.

Same procedure as every year. The people from drunkencoders.com have organized another coding competition. This time you have to create a Nintendo DS or Game Boy Advance game with a holiday theme, deadline is the 1st January 2007.

Read everything about the competition at Drunkencoders Second Annual Christmas Game Coding Competition

I hope to see at least one HAM/HEL entry, don’t disappoint me! :-)
